My Review
Compared to other Whey protein products on the North American market, this type of protein packs an awful punch. There is an old saying, "Never regret money you spend on your stomach" and dare I say more. Having tried the strawberry and vanilla flavors, this cheap 'Walmart' brand protein does not provide much more than a coffee and a handful of almonds would. The company seems proud to advertise their taurine ingredients on their website. Taurine is a synthetic form of caffeine which is commonly found in energy drinks. Knowing this, I tend to avoid synthetic (non natural) caffeine forms; especially if they are mixed in with protein. Taurine makes you feel the rush of your post workout and is designed to make you feel "the pump" that the workout itself provides. People them become confused thinking that the protein makes them feel so great when really it should be the workout itself which makes you feel great. Taurine is a stimulant and it can make the consumer (you) coming back for more and more of their protein product.
My advice is to steer clear of this synthetic protein even though it may not have aspartame and has an environmentally friendly package. The taste is not desirable and the after taste can leave you looking for your mouth wash and the taurine is a chemical which our bodies really do not ever need to sustain healthy lifestyles. Spend the extra money and buy a bag of almonds or another type of protein
