My Review
What made me try CNP's Propeptide was the presence of Probiotic organisms. There has been a lot of talk about these types of protein for a while and their impact on athletes that spend a lot of time in the gym thus producing a lot of cortisol. Probiotic proteins inhibit the excess production of cortisol which leads to a lot of great results. The first is reduction in abdominal fat. I will be exploring these effects in more depth in a later post.
I tried the vanilla flavour which was alright. Took me some time to get used to it but eventually it was alright. Whilst taking CNP's Propeptide I found that I was able to preform better in the gym but also on the rugby pitch being able to lift more and recover in no time at all. I also managed to break a couple of personal bests including flat bench press and military press.
I really liked how it mixes really well with both water and milk meaning I can adjust the protein/carb/fat content according to my needs and time of day.
Finally, I used the 5lb tub which lasted me a long time. Just under 3 months which is the longest a tub has ever lasted me. This makes it by far the most cost effective protein shake I've ever used.
The only thing I didn't like were the fact that it makes a lot of froth/foam on top when I mix it with either water or milk. It's the only shake to ever do so, could it be due to the probiotics? Who knows.
Overall, great product. A must for anyone looking to make serious gains!
