My Review
Its claimed effects include helping your metabolism and supporting your immune system.
It contains carbohydrates which aim to replace the body's glycogen energy stores after a hard training session. It also contains whey protein (fast release) and Casein protein (slow release) and deliver 6g of Essential Amino Acids (EAA) to promote muscle repair and strengthening. Which is the crucial part of any recovery formula. However, at 9g per 100ml it seems a little low for a recovery formula. However, the ratio of 3:1 of carbohydrates to protein is optimal for recovery. It's also rich in electrolytes to aid your rehydration.
For Goodness Shakes 3:1 Sports Recovery comes in two forms: sachets and RTS bottles, both are great mediums for carrying it around however I personally preferred the sachets due to the convince of carrying it with me to the gym. Easily packed in an empty shaker ready for post-workout consumption. Unlike the other shakes, this is extremely easy to mix as I you will see in the video review!
Having tried all four flavours I find them rather enjoyable to drink. One of the very few supplements I look forward to drinking! The four flavours are: banana, milk chocolate, vanila and superberry and my favorite would have to be milk chocolate which tastes exactly as it's says on the packaging.
Currently priced at £2 per serving I feel it's a little pricey in comparison with other recovery drinks but that is justified with all the extra amino acids, vitamins you get and also the guaranteed enjoyable taste!
Overall, great recovery formula. Would recommend it to anyone looking to try a new one!
