My Review
I used Optimum Nutrition's CLA softgels for 15 days during a weight loss period. It was used in conjunction with other supplements, altered diet and regular training to achieve a drop in my body fat percentage. Over the 15 days I was taking 6 softgels per day. Three with breakfast and a further three with dinner and as a result, the 90 softgels lasted me 15 days. Coupling CLA supplementation with the aforementioned alterations to my training regime, I was able to reduce my body fat percentage by around 1.5% (roughly 1.2kg) over the duration of the course. In terms of muscle mass, that was maintained leading to a net lean transformation; which is ideally what I was aiming for.
These softgels are very small compared to some of the other tablets, pills and softgels out there making them very easy to swallow. They are tasteless and as a result wouldn't leave the typical oily after-taste you might expect.
The two things I really dislike about it are: the fact that each softgel contains 750mg of CLA as opposed to the industry standard of 1000mg meaning you'll need to take extra softgels to get the same amount. Furthermore, the price. At nearly double what other competitors charge for the same quantity at a higher dose, it stands to be less cost-efficient. However, being an ON product, you can be certain of the quality of the ingredients included; and although it's a reduced dose, you'll be getting 100% of what you're promised.
